NUI Galway Radio Society are delighted to announce the second
National Student Radio Conference will take place in NUI Galway on Saturday,
March 7th 2015.
Registration for the conference opens at
11am on Saturday with talks running until 5pm.
The conference is supported by Craol,
the representative, co-ordinating, lobbying, training, & support
organisation for Irish Community Radio; NUI Galway Societies’Office and Flirt FM 101.3.
The conference will not specifically focus
on student radio but will rather offer an all-encompassing look at the medium
and the structures built around it. There will be informative talks from some of Ireland's top media
organisations, hands-on demonstrations, Q&A sessions and other special
events. The conference is also a great chance to network and meet like-minded
students from all around the country.
Denzil Lacey, managing director of ZAVA
media, is the first speaker confirmed to be attending the conference.
Tickets for the conference can be found on Eventbrite.ie.
This year Early-Bird and Group-Rate options have been introduced. Early-Bird
tickets will cost €8 while groups of 10 or more people can purchase tickets for
€6 each. Tickets go up to full price from March 2nd. Ticket holders
will be given a welcome goodie pack, lunch and admittance to the post
conference social. Also included is entrance to a pre-event taking place on
Friday March 6th for those travelling to Galway early.
