So here we are!

Welcome to the online home of the Irish Student Radio Network.

The ISRN was first dreamt up in 2009 at a national campus radio event hosted by Flirt FM, but radio folk are just too busy for their own good, and things fell by the wayside.
Step forward to 2014 and NUI Galway Radio Society's inaugural National Student Radio Conference in association with Craol. A meeting of all the station managers and representatives at the event decided it was still worth setting up a network, and due to the growing number of online stations, absolutely necessary!

This is a call out; if you are running a full or part-time FM, online only (or mix of both) station in Ireland, let us know.
This academic year, we want to build the first comprehensive list of student s
tations in the country. We want to get stations talking to each other, sharing best practice and resources. We also want the public to know more about the awesome work and broadcasts that these stations do too.

We'll be contacting every station that we can find, but don't be shy, give us a shout!

For now, we're building our database, and looking forward to stations meeting up over the academic year. We'll be having a big meeting at the National Student Radio Conference in March 2015 to decide where to go next.

Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook. Tag tweets you want us to repost #ISRie and we'll do our damndest to get the whole country talking about student radio.
